Eat delicious. Friendly staff

The waitress and the service was very nice. The restaurant was also very inviting to sit comfortably there. We had the schnitzel, cream sauce and croquettes. The food was okay, but the quality wasn't particularly high. The schnitzel was "pressed meat" and the price of 12.90 € is very high.

The restaurant has something familiar. Price performance is right.

It was delicious. The waiter was very nice and accommodating. Gladly again.

Stale! The waitress doesn't really listen to the order and brings the wrong thing.

This year the food wasn't good at all. I had ordered Jägerschnitzel with croquettes. Got french fries instead of croquettes. I didn't even think that's bad, but they didn't taste really good. We were so excited for the meal as it was great last year. W.

Staff was nice. We got food around 8:30, although all restaurants and snack bars in the rest of Altenau were closed. The food was unfortunately not very good, not fresh, sauces not homemade.

The service is very friendly, but the food is inedible. Everything from the freezer and you wait about an hour for it. The ambience is ok but not recommendable overall.

What the Germans call 'gutbürgerlich': well known German dishes for a (very) reasonable price. We ended up here by accident (a road closure brought us in this village) but in hindsight we were happy to find this place! It was busy, too; making reservations might be a good idea.

We came, we ordered and we enjoyed it. The beer was good, fast service and really delicious food. I got a breaded fish in a mega delicious sauce and the man got an ultra tender veal fillet. Mums !! And the waiter was sweet and fresh.

Very tasty and good home cooking. And above all at low prices. Highly recommended.

Very nice and cozy restaurant with really nice service. There was nothing to complain about the schnitzel and side dishes. The food was just outstanding for the price asked. It's also worth taking a look at the ice cream menu. Definitely worth a visit.

Tonight we were there in Altenau for dinner. We would not only be served very friendly, we also had very delicious food at a really good price. A small chat with the host was the nice end to this evening. We will be here for another week and will definitely eat there again.

In this case we would have schnitzel in the lower gastronomy quality Not even fried. The fried potatoes were partly black. The sauces simple. The service was good and nice

Restaurant Zum Löwen in Altenau highly recommended. Nice big card with delicious dishes. Extremely friendly and courteous service staff. We were there for the first time, but certainly not the last time. The food as well as the appetizer were hot, nicely opened, tastefully. It's worth it ... to try it .... we loved it. Gladly again!!!!
